What does this wine taste like?
Origin:Torrazza Coste (PV), Italy
Grape variety:Native red grape varieties grown and vinified on the estate
Alcohol content:11.5% vol.
Serving temperature:6–8 °C
Pairings:Delicate cured meats, grilled vegetable appetizers, fried fish, and tempura
Aging:Approximately 10 months in steel and wood for the individual masses, followed by an additional 6 months of bottle rest before release to market
We deliver throughout Italy via express courier in 1–3 business days. For smaller towns and islands, delivery may take 2–4 business days.
Deliveries are made from Monday to Friday, generally between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. We recommend providing an address where someone is always present.
Soil:Silty and clay-silty alluvial deposits, with low organic carbon content and limited availability of organic matter.
Altitude:130 m a.s.l.
Harvest:Between the end of August and the first week of September.
Vineyard:15 and 25 year old vines, density of 3,500–4,000 plants per hectare, Guyot training system and natural grassing.
Yield:Maximum production of 70 q/ha, equal to 1.4–1.7 kg per plant.
Vinification:Manual harvesting in 15 kg crates and soft pressing with a must yield of approximately 55%.
Fermentation:Spontaneous, without the use of selected yeasts. Fermentation takes place partly in steel and partly in wooden barrels, with careful management of temperatures, racking and oxygenation. No filtration.
Final aging:Clarification through natural cold decantation in the cellar.
