What does this wine taste like?
Origin:Torrazza Coste (PV), Italy
Type:Red wine without PDO/PGI
Grape Variety:Blend of indigenous and international varieties cultivated and vinified on the estate
Alcohol Content:14.5% vol.
Serving Temperature:12–16 °C
Pairings:Cured meats, red meats, and first courses with game
Aging:18 months in steel for 50% of the volume and 18 months in 500-liter oak tonneaux for the remaining 50%, unfiltered and clarified through natural cold decantation in the cellar
We deliver throughout Italy via express courier in 1–3 business days. For smaller towns and islands, delivery may take 2–4 business days.
Deliveries are made from Monday to Friday, generally between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. We recommend providing an address where someone is always present.
Soil:Silty and clayey-silty alluvial deposits, with low organic carbon content and limited availability of organic matter.
Altitude:130 m a.s.l.
Harvest:First week of October, when the average ripeness of the different varieties present in the vineyard is considered optimal.
Vineyard:Vines over 60 years old, density of 2,500 vines per hectare, Guyot training system with double spur and permanent natural grass cover.
Yield:Maximum production of 60 q/ha, equal to approximately 1.5 kg per vine.
Vinification:Manual harvesting in 15–20 kg crates, grape selection and destemming. Manual punching down and pump-overs performed with a peristaltic pump.
Fermentation:Spontaneous with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel, accompanied by careful management of rackings and oxygenation through sealed valves.
